Great & Holy Saturday
On Great and Holy Saturday, at the Vespers with the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil, at Saint Steven’s Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Alhambra, California, His Grace Bishop Maxim, Clergy, and the faithful commemorated the descent of our Lord into Hades, his victory over Death, and his glorious Resurrection.
On this day, as is tradition, numerous adults, after having prepared for the sacrament through catechism classes, were received into the Orthodox faith through Baptism and Chrismation.
