Unique Gathering of Medical Minds and Spiritual Guidance in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, February 16 – In a remarkable blend of medical expertise and spiritual fellowship, St. Stephen’s Serbian Cathedral in Los Angeles became the meeting ground for an esteemed group of physicians last night. The event, convened by Bishop Maxim, was not just a professional meetup but a celebration of the feast of the Meeting of the Lord in Alhambra, marking a rare occasion where the worlds of medicine and spirituality intersected.
The gathering commenced with Bishop Maxim extending a warm welcome to the attendees, highlighting the critical synergy between medical doctors and spiritual leaders. His message underscored the shared mission of both professions: to serve humanity at its most vulnerable. Senior Dr. Milan Stevanovic, a noted orthopedic surgeon from the Los Angeles area, also addressed the assembly, reinforcing the sense of community among the physicians.

It is observed every 15th of February to commemorate the outbreak of the First Serbian Uprising in 1804, which ultimately led to the Serbian Revolution against Ottoman rule.
