The Feast of St. Archangel Michael in Saratoga, California

On Sunday, November 22, 2020 St. Michael Parishioners celebrated Annual Petron Saint – Slava celebration.  Although we are under increased restriction due to Covid-19, good number of people were present.  As every year, His Grace Bishop Maxim and host priest were serving, while Choir under direction of Lazo Mihailovich did beautiful responses.  Two altar servers, Milan Grbovic and Milos Nikolic along with Lazar Supic were helping in the altar area.
After Scriptures reading, His Grace Bishop Maxim held very inspiring Homily about the miracle of the raising Jairus’ daughter by our Lord.  With carefully chosen words His Grace congratulated to all parishioners Church Slava wishing to them prosperous and long life.  After Liturgy His Grace served the Service of Cutting of Slava Bread.
Immediately, after Liturgy were served pre-packed lunches for all parishioners to eat outside or to take it home.  All in all, this was nice celebration having in mind special circumstances that we live in at this time.  We are thankful to God for a great number of parishioners during this celebration, and huge spiritual and financial success.  Glory be to God!
