Monastery Slava Celebrated in Escondido
After days of rain in the greater San Diego area the feast of the Meeting of the Lord fell on a beautiful, sunny Thursday, February 15, 2024, when the Monastery in Escondido celebrated its Monastery Slava. His Grace Bishop Maxim of the Western American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church celebrated the Holy Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. Concelebrating with His Grace were Hieromonk Rev. Vasilije Gavrilovic and V. Rev. Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Milovan Katanic.
At the conclusion of the liturgy and the Blessing of the Slava Gifts, His Grace wished everyone a blessed feast and joyous Slava celebration. An agape meal was served for the faithful gathered who came from various parishes to join in this year’s festive celebration.
