An Ordination to the Diaconate on the Feast of the Deposition of the Robe of the Theotokos
On September 13, the Feast of the Deposition of the Robe of the Theotokos, His Grace Bishop Maxim visited Pokrov Parish. He presided over the Divine Liturgy, which included the ordination of Reader Kirill to the diaconate.
Upon his arrival, Bishop Maxim was warmly greeted by the parish children, who presented him with flowers and gifts, which he received with his characteristic joy. Concelebrating with His Grace were Priest Fr. Zoran and Subdeacon Darco.
During the Liturgy, Reader Kirill was first ordained to the subdiaconate, and subsequently, to the diaconate. Following the service, Bishop Maxim expressed his profound joy at serving in Pokrov Parish and commended the choir for their solemn singing. He also offered a poignant reminder to the newly ordained Deacon Kirill, emphasizing the spiritual significance of his ordination day as being akin to the day of his birth.
