Las Vegas (often informally referred to as simply "Vegas", or jokingly, "Lost Wages") is the most popular city in Nevada (Nevada, the seat of Clark County) and is known internationally as a destination for relaxation, entertainment, shopping and gambling. Founded in 1905 and officially became a city 1911.g. It is the largest city in the U.S. founded in the 20th century. Vegas Do you travel for about four hours from Los Angeles, passing through Barstau, near Death Valley, through desert landscapes. However, the human soul Nevada desert in all its brutal nature of the wild-seems much closer than original and filled with rich content of artificial Vegas.
Following the Divine Liturgy a tour was given of the Church which is under construction. The Iconography in the Church is in Serbian-Byzantine style. The Church was designed by Otto Urban, an architect, and presented the project as a contribution to the church of Sv. Simeon.
Fr. Uros, came here nineteen years ago, with many Orthodox faithful, most of which are Serbs from Bosnia and Krajina. The parish was established in 1979 with a group of Serbs born in the U.S. with the help of former monk Nicholas Sorajic. In 1983, Church members organized themselves and built a church hall, a chapel for worship with other necessary facilities. The parish is in this spirit opstojavala, until the recent war events in former Yugoslavia in the nineties. Entrants were parishioners from Bosnia, most of Zenica and Sarajevo, and they now form the core of the community.
We pray to God that this community gives liturgical church completed soon and adding a new start, and bring up any progress.
