Following the proposal of His Eminence Amphilochius, Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Coastland, the Holy Synod of Bishops initiated the reinstatement of the former Diocese of Zahum and Raska at their regular meeting in May 2000. This newly re-established diocese dating back to St. Sava's Episcopal See of Budimlje, and later known as the Diocese of Budimlje-Polimlje, had been integrated in the Metropolis of Montenegro and the Coastland.
His Grace Joannicius Micovic, Bishop of Budimlje and Niksic, was born in Belimlje, Banjani , on April 20, 1959. He completed his secondary education in Niksic and his tertiary education at the Theological Faculty of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Belgrade in 1990. He is also an absolvent of philosophy of the Philosophical Faculty in Belgrade.
His Grace was tonsured as a monk at the Monastery of Celije of Piperi on October 30, 1990. He was ordained as a hiero-deacon on February 7, 1991, and as a hieromonk on February 17 of the same year at which time he was appointed as the Acting Superior of Savin Monastery.
On September 1, 1992 His Grace was appointed as the Superior of the Monastery of Cetinje, and also as the Teacher–In-Charge of the newly restored Cetinje Theological Seminary. In September 1995 he was promoted to the rank of a proto-syngelos and was appointed as the Acting-Dean of the Cetinje Theological Seminary.
The Holy Synod of Bishops elected his Grace as the Vicar Bishop of Budimlje at their regular session in May 1999. The cheirotonia took place in Cetinje on the 3 rd of June 1999. His ordination to the rank of a bishop was performed by the Serbian Patriarch Paul and was concelebrated by Metropolitan Amphilochius and twelve more hierarchs.

performance at the Sunday Banquet and Program.
It is with joy that we are announcing the visit of the Choir of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade to the United States . These students of theology have been chosen because of their love for divine services and the beauty of their musical expression at the cantor ' s stand of the Seminary's Chapel dedicated to Saint John the Theologian.
The Dean of the School, His Grace Dr. Irinej (Bulovic) formed the choir in the beginning of 2007. The choir consists of some 20 students who foster the chanting of Church hymns, sing multi-part Russian melodies, and especially chant the traditional music of the Byzantine church following the typikon of the Holy Mountain . They sing services and concerts in English as well as Greek and Slavonic. During their visit the Choir will be accompanied by Professor of Liturgics, Nenad Milosevic.
